Perplexity is being made a Scapegoat

Image
The AI craze is still on and a lot of companies are rushing to market with half-baked products, with the hope they would complete whatever remains to be completed by using logic to fill their systems with content. Filling their models with the right content is important to meeting the queries of users of their models and if done the right way, can help them stand out. Using someone's content with their consent or permission is a crime and a lot of companies from America, Sillicon Valley to be precise, are known for using people's content with their permission and, if found, and asked to pay damages or compensation, they deny it and look for ways to avoid making payment. I read on the Financial Times this morning that AI company Perplexity Ai is being sued in Japan by Japanese companies Nikkei and Asahi Shimbum over copy right infringement and are asking  for $15 million each in damages, and this news is circulating around the internet and bringing up questions as to who retai...

The Rise of Robotic Journalists

Image
N   Like all technology, there are upsides and downsides to using them. A lot of Luddites ( people who are oppose to using technology as they fear it will tech their jobs, are currently looking at the downsides of using artificial intelligence systems like Generative AI, AI agents and AI assistants  that are out to deny them the opportunity of organizing and completing their work or tasks at their own pace or at a time they desire. From the customer-facing businesses, which will require few hands to get the job done, to the copywriter, AI will reduce the number of those in our workplaces globally, in companies where they are adopted and use aggressively. However, they are upsides to this  technology, especially those in the media space, I mean journalism. I foresee a future of Journalists on frontlines, in a wartone countries, being replaced by AI-powered robots, to report and capture scenes we would otherwise have missed should a human be there to report  ...

The Simple But Dreaded Interview Question Answered

Image
A lot of recruiters and employers dread interviewing candidates, especially candidates from institutions of higher learning ( Universities) as they pose a threat to their intelligence, due to their level of participation in topics considered too verse or too deep for such individual sitting or standing before them. The interviewers themselves, are not all equipped with the knowledge to answer the questions they ask some candidates and so, rely on outside sources to keep them abreast of the right answers to some certain questions. This is ridiculous, especially to recruiters from Human Resources Agencies and other bodies deemed to be well verse in handling such interviews. One of the questions some interviewers ask are complex and requires one to spend some time analysing it and finding the right answers but, as job interview demands, a candidate don't have the time to assess or gauge their response in a time or period they desire. The question, ' Why should we Hire you?...

Which country could disappear in the next 20 years?

Guys, I came across this question on Reddit and it got me thinking, 'Why don't I answer some questions these current AI models won't be able to answer correctly?'  Yes, the question is one that calls for some questioning as to  why the poster asked such a question but it obvious the poster is serious and would like to know.  Here's the answer: Ecuador. Right now the current rate of violence in the nation Ecuador is so high that the Government is confused as to how to fix what is wrong in the nation. Here's our solution: The Government can start by establishing a new set rules that will deter criminals from participating in elections and follow up with strict and punitive measures, should anyone be found wanting in addressing issues, especially during elections. That way, everyone will be rest assured that their property is safe from their neighbours.

Is this this way to use AI?

Image
Image Credit: Netizen AI is a wonderful technology that allows us to complete tasks in such a time;even at the speed of light.  But my fear is, it will change a lot of things and that includes the job markets. A lot of employees will find themselves in the job markets if we don't put measures in place to comb the sharp practices of some business individuals. Yes, employers, managers, etc. will be dancing to their favourites songs as a result of the adoption of AI in their businesses. Tasks, projects will carried and completed in such a short time but what happens to the thousands, hundreds, and even millions of workers who will leave their jobs, not because they are not good at it but because, their manager or owner of the company they work at considers them too slow to complete a task. This is absurd. Why are we so impatient these days? An employee does a task well but may not do it so well at the quality an AI assistant or agent would do it. For example, an MD or CEO of a compa...

The Game is ON!

The search for the best artificial intelligence model is on and companies of all sizes are prepping up and vowing to emerge as the best. That means we are going to be seeing a lot of talent poaching by companies who have deep pockets to bring together the best minds to create a more advance model, while individuals who wants to get a headstart may do the same on a 'low key manner, and then there are those who may be publishing misleading reports just to stay relevant but are actually not doing much but this is what AI scene will look like. Some start-ups may not want to leave the scene for the juggernauts, the guys who know the game but may not have the time to come out with a better product as everyone wants to join the bandwagon of the hottest AI companies but don't get what is going to happen should the AI boom crumbles. Those who get it stays, those who don't will fade or leave the scene for those who take their time to come out with the best product; in order  to mee...

Which is the best AI Assistants based on quality of answers?

Image
Image Credit: Infomation Week The current AI assistants are relatively good but something tells me most users are not too satisfied with the answers they get and are just 'OK' with the level these models are responding to their questions. I would like to conduct an opinion poll in which you tell me on how well the current AI models--- Grok, Gemini, Chatgpt, Microsoft Copilot, and ILlama---performs, in terms of the quality of answers and how quickly they respond to your Currently, Which AI assistants would you say is the best, based on the answers you've received on your hard questions?

What is the best AI Model?

Image
Image credit: Techradar The era of working and sleeping is here and many of us are wondering what is going to happen to our jobs should this AI models eventually take over our jobs, as we are seeing they are getting better each and every day. The current crop of AI models---Chatgpt, Gemini, Llama, Grok, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Midjourney---which many believe to be the best AI assistants right now, are shaping the way we use the internet and search for solutions to problems at the speed of lightning.  However, can these models truly offer us what we want, I mean, based on real life experience and not necessarily the experience of a human being in the past who did not offer the best advice at the time they encounter or face whatever it was they faced, that the current models are using to provide answers to people? What will an AI model say in the case between a lawyer who is well versed in legal matters but need assistance from a lawyer who is not versed in legal matters but ca...
